As you are aware, the Brookside Beach has been closed since Saturday due to damages from Hurricane Irene. The Beach Staff and Township Public Works Department has worked all week to clean the beach, restore water levels and water quality to pre-storm conditions. Unfortunately, despite best efforts, we have been unable to restore water quality to an acceptable level. In the interest of public health we have no choice but to close the Beach for the weekend. We greatly regret having to make this decision; however we trust you understand the need for the closure. Thank you for your patience this week and for your patronage all season.
