TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Mendham will be conducting a Public Hearing to seek preliminary public comment on the proposed diversion of approximately 3.6 acres of parkland at India Brook Park, located at 97 Ironia Road, Mendham Township, Morris County, NJ. As compensation for the proposed diversion, Mendham Township proposes to work with Randolph Township to preserve and permanently dedicate for park purposes approximately 35.8 acres of land known as Block 49, Lot 2, Randolph Township, Morris County, located between Calais Road and Doby Road.

Pursuant to N.J.A.C. 7:36-26.8 a hearing to obtain public comment on this request will be held at Mendham Town Hall, 2 West Main St., Brookside, NJ 07926 on December 12, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Immediately upon opening of the regular Township Committee meeting scheduled at 7:30 p.m. the Township Committee shall adjourn to conduct the Public Hearing.

Information proposed to be submitted by Mendham Township to the Green Acres Program in support of this requested diversion of parkland is available for public inspection at Mendham Township Hall, 2 West Main St., Brookside, NJ 07926, the Mendham Township Library, 2 West Main Street, Brookside, NJ 07926 and at the Green Acres Program Office, 501 East State Street, Station Plaza Building 5, Ground Floor, Trenton, NJ 08625.
