Townhsip and OEM Officials held a conference with JCP&L representatives this morning.  We were advised that line, pole and tree crews have been deployed in town.  The crews are working from the Borough substation on Rte. 24 and will be moving outward to the various sections of town.
It is likely that some sections of town may have power restored today.  At this point, it is too early to determine which sections.
Township and JCP&L Officials remain in constant contact and will continue to provide further updates as information is provided.
Residents should survey their property carefully.  DO NOT TOUCH DOWNED LINES.  If service from the street to your home is disrupted, it is the responsibility of the homeowner to arrange for a repair.  Residents should contact an electrician about the process of restoration of your electrical line.  This repair may not be possible until power has been restored but it would help to expedite power to your home.
Residents are asked to be patient as this restoration effort moves forward.
