Regarding the gasoline crisis, the Township is part of an effort being led by Senator & Assemblyman Buccos' and 39 other municipalities to address the shortage of available gasoline for commercial sale as a result of the storm's impact.

We are working with state officials to ensure that our voice is heard on a statewide level and that appropriate contingencies are being established to address the crisis.

Residents are encouraged to conserve fuel and avoid any unnecessary trips.  It is hoped that as power is restored and delivery secured from locations outside Port Newark that the situation will improve in the near term.
