5th Annual Patriots’ 5K & 8K Race & Kids Fun Run!

The Mendham Township Recreation Commission invites you to be part of the 5th Annual “Patriots' Race.” This year’s event on Saturday, June 22, 2013, features 5K and 8K races, a kids’ fun run, and walkers are welcome to encourage even broader community participation!
Who Benefits? This year’s race, once again, supports the Goryeb Children’s Hospital “Kids4Kids Philanthropic Committee,” a group of local youngsters who raise money to help make a stay at the hospital less stressful for other children. We are also starting a new college scholarship, the Patriots Community Service Award, that will be given to a 2013 graduating senior at West Morris Mendham High School who has given back to the community, particularly in the area of recreation or performing arts. (This award is in addition to the ongoing Veronica O’Neil Scholarship.)
Sponsorship & Volunteering Opportunities! We need business and family sponsors to help us raise money for sick children and their families and to support local recreation, such as Brookside Beach, and college scholarships for deserving youngsters. Sponsor levels start at $50 or $100 for Family Sponsors up to $1,500 for Corporate Commanders, with opportunities in between!

7:30 a.m. Race-Day Registration & Shirt Pick-up Open
8:30 Registration Closes
9:00 a.m. 5K, 8K, and Walkers begin!
9:45 a.m. Kids' Fun Run
*To be followed by Awards Ceremony*
Awards: 5K & 8K
Top 3 overall males & females
Top 3 in each 5-year age group:
(9 & under through 80 & over)
Race Courses: 5K – scenic “out-and-back” through the historic Brookside section of town. Kids' Fun Run - 1/4 mile loop around the field for kids! Ribbons and tech shirts for all!
Entry Fees:
5K, 8K -- $25 (by 6/20 online or 6/19 mail)
5K, 8K -- $22 (USATF-NJ members, by 6/20 online or 6/19 by mail)
5K, 8K -- $30 (Race Day)
