Wysong playground has been re-opened, thank you for your patience.  The issue at hand is that our harsh winters are starting to take a toll on the wooden playground structure at Wysong Park.  Naturally safety is our number one concern in opening for the spring and DPW has taken the necessary steps to ensure all repairs are complete before opening for the season.  We  thank them for working expeditiously to accomplish this before the beautiful holiday weekend rolls in!
 
Many of you have expressed how much the playground means to our community and were interested in assisting with efforts that would ensure our ability to open as quickly as possible.  Going forward the Recreation Commission is taking a pro-active approach and will be spearheading a fundraising campaign.  This will enable us to address the reality that our wooden play structure is aging and ensure rehabilitation can take place in a timely manner.
