The Mendham Township committee has decided to form a Pitney Farm subcommittee. The purpose of this subcommittee is to begin discussions for a framework of an operating lease agreement of the Pitney property. Mendham Township will be represented by Mayor Baumann, Committeeperson Diana Orban Brown and Township Attorney Mr. John Mills III. The Township has requested representation from the Friends of Pitney. The goal for these discussions is to determine if the Township subcommittee and the Friends of Pitney representatives can develop a mutually agreeable operating lease. The Mendham Township subcommittee will provide its recommendation to the entire committee for its input and consideration if an agreement is reached from the subcommittee’s effort with the Friends of Pitney representatives.
