Last Thursday Night we had two vehicles stolen out of the Brookside area along with a number of vehicles that had items stolen from them. The vehicles have since been recovered as result of an investigation by the Mendham Twp PD in cooperation with the Newark PD and the Autotheft Task Force and numerous other agencies. This is one of many thefts that occurred in the Morris,Union and Essex county area.

Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles, do not keep keys in their vehicles even if in their garage, and do not keep any valuables in their vehicles.  

Residents are asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity day or night IMMEDIATELY to the Mendham Twp PD at 973-543-2581and dial 0 for our dispatcher 24 hours a day.
