Lawn Watering Ban Effective August 3, 2016

This ban applies to any Mendham Township residents receiving water from Randolph.

 

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a drought watch for Northern New Jersey. Randolph Township is in the drought watch area.

The drought watch has been declared due to the significant deficit of rainfall through the year to date. Randolph Township Ordinance #12-07, Section 50-31, permits the township, upon public notice, to restrict certain uses of water above and beyond the limitations.

The Township of Randolph prohibits its water customers from watering their lawns, effective August 3, 2016 until further notice and authorizes designated township departments to enforce the lawn watering ban through warnings and then penalties. The lawn watering ban applies to all properties served by public water in Randolph.
