2024 RESIDENT SHOPPER PARKING PERMIT

This is where you can make an online parking permit application & payment submission to the Township of Millburn.

General Information

*Purchase of a Resident Shopper Parking Permit does not guarantee a space.

Dear Permit Applicant:

The Township will offer a Shopper Parking Permit for your convenience. Purchase of this permit will eliminate the need for you to pay for parking at the paystation, meter or have to use the Mpay parking application. Time limits will be strictly enforced.

In order to obtain this permit, please submit the following with application:

  • A copy of the vehicle registration and insurance card.  
  • A copy of your most recent utility bill. 

The parking permit shall be placed in the rear window driver’s side. See picture below:

    1. Business district residents are not eligible
    2. Time limits strictly enforced

The grace period for 2023 permit holders will expire on January 15, 2024.  Vehicles   parked with a 2023 parking permit after January 15, 2024 will be in violation and subject to summons. Grace period WILL NOT BE EXTENDED.

I hereby apply for a permit to park the above-designated car, owned by the designated employee, in permit-only areas of Municipal parking lots subject to the time, limitations and other regulations applicable to each particular lot. I hereby certify that the above information is true and correct under the penalty of law and that the permit will be used only for the car described above.
 
I am aware that the sticker is only valid for the above vehicle.
 
If vehicle is sold, traded on a new car, or license plate number changes, the unexpired sticker must be transferred to the new vehicle.  The sticker must be removed from the car and returned to our office before new stickers will be issued.  The vehicle registration and insurance card must accompany the transfer request. 

Resident Shopper Parking Permit fees for 2024 are as follows:  

$60.00 (first two permits @ $60 each)
$70.00 for additional cars (each)

EACH PARKING PERMIT PERMIT MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY & SEPARATELY APPLIED FOR AND PAID.

ONLINE PAYMENTS

Note: Payments received during the current municipal business day hours will be posted as paid for that municipal business day. Late payments will be credited as of the next municipal business day through automated posting and direct deposit to the Township of Millburn's bank.

ACH ELECTRONIC-CHECK PAYMENTS (NO CONVENIENCE-FEE) 

The online ACH electronic-check payment process is provided as a free service by the Township of Millburn. When you choose the ACH electronic-check payment process you authorize your bank to directly transfer the amount you specify from your checking account to an account for the Township of Millburn. 

 
As always, however, the responsibility for ensuring that the Township of Millburn actually receives payment of the proper amount in a timely fashion remains with the payer. It's up to you to make sure that all of your information is entered correctly and to make sure that money is available in your account to cover the payment transfer. The Township of Millburn has authorized a $20.00 charge for each returned check submitted to the Township of Millburn. 

After you submit your online payment to the Township of Millburn, you should see an electronic digital-receipt webpage displayed confirming your payment submission through this online service. You should print or otherwise save a copy of that webpage which is your official payment submission copy.

Electronic Payment Refund Policy

Overpayments cannot be refunded. Overpayments will be held on credit and applied to the next payment due. Overpayments will not be transferred or applied to a different payment type other than the bill type that the overpayment was made.
