New Brunswick - DPW - Bulk Items Pickup Reservation

If your address isn't on the list it could be because:
  • A private company services your location
  • Your address needs to be added to our database
  • Bulk - Large items such as furniture, mattresses*, rugs or extra trash cans/bags
    • Regular trash cans/bags count toward the maximum allowed items for pickup
    • *All mattresses and box springs must be completely wrapped in plastic
  • Brush - Branches, twigs, woody plants and not exceeding 5 inches in diameter
    • Tie branches with string in bundles no longer than 4 feet in length and no heavier than 50 pounds
    • Brush will be accepted as bundles or containers. Follow bulk furniture rules. Six items per unit per collection
    • Place small tigs less than 1 ft long in open, rigit containers without lids
    • REMINDER: No brush will be picked up in bags. Tree stumps, leaves & grass are not included in brush program
  • CFC - Appliances include but not limited to:
    • Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, etc.
    • All CFCs will be carefully evacuated from appliances containing refrigerants by the City of New Brunswick.
  • Metal - Scrap Metal & Appliances to include but not limited to:
    • Metal cabinets, bed frames, bikes, dish washers, microwaves, stoves, ovens, washers, dryers, water heaters, etc.
  • Leaves - Check the current schedule for full instructions. (Link Above)
  • Electronic waste - televisions and computers - plus Paint cans with paint still inside bring to Second Saturdays at DPW
  • Household Hazardous Waste and Paper Shredding - plus tire and cooking oil drop off - through Middlesex County
