Online Payments/Dog Licenses

Online Payments can be made to either renew an existing Somerville dog license or license a dog NEW to Somerville.

STATE LAW REQUIRES A RABIES CERTIFICATE VALID THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2026.

The license fee is $12.00 for neutered dogs or $15.00 for non-neutered dogs in the month of JANUARY.

If your dog is newly spayed or neutered, or your dog has an updated Rabies Certificate, please be sure to email copies of the proofs for same, to cbayait@somervillenj.org .
Separately please email copies your dog’s current Rabies and Spay/Neutered Certificates to cbayait@somervillenj.org .
Late fees, applicable for renewals only, start February 1^st. February’s late fee is $3, after February the late fee is $1 for each month you are late. Please be sure you include late fees in your online payment, if applicable.
